I recently suffered an extreme case of AFib. At the time, I thought I was having a heart attack and rushed to the emergency center. When an EKG and Echocardiogram confirmed I had an acute case of AFib and must be hospitalized, my husband immediately contacted the pre-certification department at WEA. Ms. Giselle Bisbal, Medical Coordinator, handled my husband’s call with professionalism and prompt handling. By the time I came out of the ER and moved to my room in the hospital, my cardiologist confirmed to me that WEA had been in contact with the hospital and all admin to my admittance was being handled and I was not to worry about anything. After a pacemaker and three days in the hospital, I was released after all had confirmed that the guarantee letter had been sent from WEA and I was free to go as I had already reached my deductible. I cannot express my thanks to Ms. Bisbal and WEA for the prompt and professional way my claim was handled. The last thing one needs in an emergency is worrying about how to handle the admin with our health insurance provider. Congratulations WEA and particularly Ms. Giselle Bisbal for your efficient handling of my case. I look forward to WEA as my health provider for many years to come.

Best medical coordinator ever!! We have been insured by several companies, and do not expect a high level of customer service. Giselle Bisbal is truly the exception. During a medical emergency in Mexico, she coordinated with our agents; intervened when the hospital said they did not accept our insurance; intervened with the doctor who initially refused to accept any insurance payment; and stayed in constant touch with me during the crisis. She was professional, reassuring, and insistent that our rights be honored. This culminated in the incredibly stressful situation of being held hostage by the hospital who was threatening us with legal action. Fortunately her fluency in Spanish made our rights very clear. During this time, I knew exactly what Giselle wanted me to do, and I stood by this even though H+ Queretaro became hostile. I hope no one ever goes through this again. But if they do, I hope Giselle is available.

Firstly I wanted to thank you ALL just so very very much for everything you have done for me over these past few months and particularly over these past few weeks. Upon the news of all the tests required and appointments and surgery you all worked so diligently and efficiently to make it all as smooth as possible for me and my family. EVERYONE from the surgeon’s secretary the hospital staff – they all commented on how wonderful and lovely the staffs of my insurance were. From Pre-Certification to Reimbursement Payment, my experience with WEA has been nothing but extraordinary. My Agent, Launa Brockman, along with my WEA Medical Coordinator, Giselle Bisbal, was always there for me if I had any questions or concerns concerning my claim for surgery. Giselle answered or returned phone calls in a very timely manner, which is very unusual from past experience with other insurance companies. Giselle supported me all through the process, calling several times to check up on me to see how I was doing, before and after surgery, and imagine my surprise when I received a beautiful bouquet of white roses thanking me for my support and wishing me a speedy recovery. My wife contacted WEA for assistance with a precertification approval for an MRI in Panama City, Panama. We are very pleased to have had Ms. Martinez as our customer service representative. She far exceeded all expectations we had of the assistance we would be offered from WEA. Ms. Martinez took the extra steps to speak with my orthopedic surgeon’s office personnel in Panama and request the precertification form and doctor’s notes. I was having great difficulty getting the office staff to send the required paperwork to WEA. Once the paperwork was received, Ms. Martinez again went over and above by calling the MRI office in Panama and scheduling our appointment. Her patience, skills, knowledge and Spanish were invaluable to me as a client.

Giselle has been very knowledgeable, very helpful, very friendly and easy going and most of all extremely professional these past couple of weeks helping me negotiate the process for precertification that I needed. Everything I asked her was given an easy to understand the answer and she always seemed over the phone to have a smile in her voice and on her face. For those of us not in the Insurance business every day, especially as we age, these forms can be sometimes daunting and somewhat confusing, Giselle made this part of the process much easier to navigate for me.
